About the role

VPS (UK) LIMITED is seeking a Fire and Security Apprentice in the Oldham area. This role involves installing, servicing, and maintaining integrated fire and security systems, including CCTV and intruder detection. The apprentice will ensure installations comply with specifications and regulations, perform fault-finding, and communicate professionally with customers and internal teams. Key duties include liaising with management and technical support, managing van stock, achieving job targets, and creating a positive company image. The apprenticeship requires a driving license and involves travel, with potential for occasional overnight stays. A CSCS/ECS card is preferred but not essential. The role offers a clear career path towards becoming an Alarm Engineer and requires screening to BS7858 with a DBS check. The working week is Monday to Friday, with an average of 40 hours, and paid overtime available on rare occasions.
