About the role

Axeholme Stud is seeking an Equine Groom Apprentice to join their dedicated equestrian yard. This role involves a comprehensive range of horse care duties including mucking out, feeding, grooming, tack cleaning, and preparation for shows. The apprentice will also have opportunities for lunging, long reining, and holding for veterinary and farrier appointments. For the right candidate, there may be opportunities to ride and attend competitions. This apprenticeship offers a chance to gain practical experience in a varied equine environment, with potential progression to a Level 3 qualification, such as Level 3 Equestrian Sporting Excellence or Level 3 Groom. The training will be provided on-site, with a combination of employer mentoring and support from a Haddon Training Trainer Coach. Opportunities to work towards Functional Skills qualifications in English and maths are also available. The yard may accommodate the apprentice bringing their own horse, with livery potentially available by arrangement. Accommodation is potentially available and negotiable.
