About the role

This apprenticeship offers valuable experience in an accountancy practice, supporting a diverse range of clients with their accounts, tax, and VAT requirements. You will gain hands-on experience with modern accounting software, develop crucial client relationship skills, and be exposed to business development activities. The program is designed to lead towards further professional qualifications. Key duties include working with Xero and QuickBooks Online, preparing annual accounts, personal tax returns, and VAT returns, as well as reviewing the work of team members. You will also be responsible for managing staff and workloads to meet internal deadlines, building strong client relationships, and identifying opportunities to offer additional services. The role also involves promoting the company's services to existing and potential clients.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE Maths (Grade 4) and English (Grade 4) required. AAT Level 3 qualification is desired, and AAT Level 4 in progress is also accepted. Strong communication, attention to detail, organization, problem-solving, and teamwork skills are essential, along with a willingness to learn and confidence using technology.
