About the role

BK PLUS LIMITED is seeking a Tax Associate apprentice to join their growing team in Birmingham City Centre. This role is ideal for a graduate looking to expand their knowledge in accountancy, but non-graduates with a keen interest will also be considered. The apprentice will be responsible for preparing personal tax returns, reviewing and updating tax codes, preparing P11D forms, assisting senior staff with administrative duties, liaising with HMRC, and updating Self-Assessment records. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential for interacting with clients and HMRC. The apprenticeship offers the opportunity to study towards professional tax exams such as ATT/CTA, providing a strong foundation for a career in accountancy with potential progression to ACCA qualifications and becoming a fully qualified accountant.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/C or above, and an A Level in Accounts (Pass or above). Strong communication, IT, attention to detail, organisation, customer care, problem-solving, administrative, numerical, analytical, and logical skills are essential, along with the ability to work in a team and show initiative.
