About the role
Unity Health is seeking a motivated Finance Apprentice to join their team and build a career in finance. This role focuses on finance, income, bookkeeping, and accounting support, with a clear path to becoming an Assistant Accountant. Duties include managing bookkeeping records using QuickBooks, processing invoices and payments, performing bank reconciliations, and supporting month-end financial processes. The apprentice will also monitor and process income, manage claims, and ensure accurate financial records. As experience grows, responsibilities will expand to preparing financial information for management, assisting with reports, reviewing income/expenditure, supporting budget monitoring, and understanding how financial data informs decisions. The apprenticeship involves developing strong working knowledge of accounting software and identifying process improvements.
Entry requirements
- GCSE English A*-C (9-4) and GCSE Maths A*-C (9-4). Attention to detail, problem solving, number skills, analytical skills, logical thinking, and initiative are essential.
