About the role

This apprenticeship offers a 12-month government-funded course leading to a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Dental Nursing, accredited by City & Guilds. The role involves providing essential chair-side support to dentists, alongside a variety of practice duties. These include reception tasks such as answering phones, greeting patients, and dealing with queries, as well as taking payments and booking appointments. You will also be responsible for sterilising and preparing equipment, managing patient records, supporting patient wellbeing, cleaning dental areas, and managing stock. This hands-on experience will equip you with new skills and allow you to work alongside experienced dental professionals.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 (or equivalent). Strong communication, attention to detail, organisation, administrative, and team working skills are essential.
