About the role

This is an 18-month, government-funded Level 3 Extended Diploma in Dental Nursing offered by City & Guilds. As an Apprentice Dental Nurse, you will assist dentists, sterilize and prepare equipment, handle reception duties, and contribute to a positive patient experience. Your responsibilities will include providing chairside support, maintaining high standards of patient care and infection control, assisting with appointment scheduling, handling patient inquiries, and updating patient records. You will also manage stock and ensure clinical areas are clean and equipped. Upon completion, there are opportunities for career progression into roles such as Senior Dental Nurse, Lead Nurse, Business Manager, Dental Hygienist, Dental Therapist, or Orthodontic Therapist.
