About the role

This apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to train as a Vehicle Body Panel Technician at FMG Repair Services in Redruth. You will work alongside experienced professionals, learning to repair and replace damaged vehicle panels using advanced techniques including gas, electric welding, and plastic welding up to B.S.I certification. The role requires GCSEs in English and Maths at grade 4 or above, along with strong communication, organizational, customer care, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. The apprenticeship lasts for 2 years, with training provided through Skillnet Limited, including college block release at Milton Keynes with accommodation provided. Upon completion, you will have the opportunity for a full-time career in the automotive industry with numerous progression pathways, including motorsport. A tooling scheme is available to provide apprentices with the necessary tools at the start of their program.
