About the role

This is an apprenticeship opportunity for an Apprentice Dental Nurse at DR AVAL CLINIC LIMITED in Hornchurch. The apprenticeship is a 12-month, government-funded Level 3 Extended Diploma course provided by City & Guilds. Responsibilities include assisting dentists chair-side, sterilising and preparing equipment, managing reception duties, handling patient queries, taking payments, booking appointments, recording patient records, supporting patient wellbeing, managing stock, and cleaning dental areas. The role requires excellent communication, organisational, customer care, problem-solving, administrative, and teamwork skills, along with patience and a non-judgemental attitude towards patient care. Desired qualifications include GCSEs in English and Maths at grade 4 or above. Upon completion, there are opportunities for career progression into roles such as team manager, team leader, or dental practice manager, or further training to become a dental therapist, dental hygienist, or orthodontic therapist. A DBS check and Hepatitis B vaccination are required.
