About the role
Join Thales UK Limited as a Mechanical Engineering Apprentice in Templecombe and contribute to the development of advanced underwater naval systems. This 5-year apprenticeship program offers hands-on experience across the full product development lifecycle, working with cutting-edge defence technology. You will design, test, and improve mechanical parts and systems using CAD, and gain knowledge in areas such as electronics packaging, military platform integration, and design-for-manufacture principles. The program combines on-campus learning with online study and practical work-based experience, leading to a fully funded BEng (Hons) in Electro-Mechanical Engineering and a Level 6 qualification. Upon successful completion, you will move into a permanent role within the business.
Entry requirements
- 5 GCSEs including English and Maths (9-4) and 3 A-levels including Maths (BBB).
