About the role

Embark on a career in engineering with THALES UK LIMITED as a Systems Engineering Apprentice in Reading. This degree apprenticeship offers a blend of academic study and hands-on experience, preparing you to become a proficient engineer. You will support the delivery of systems and equipment solutions, contribute to project reviews, and participate in testing and validation activities. The apprenticeship covers professional engineering behaviours, complex engineering systems, and the Systems Engineering Lifecycle. The programme is a four-year BEng Applied Professional Engineering Degree Apprenticeship with The University of Warwick, following the Product Design and Development Engineer pathway, delivered through blended learning. Successful completion leads to becoming a permanent member of the Thales team and supports progression towards Chartered Engineer status. Applicants must have GCSEs including Maths and English (A-C or 9-4) and A-levels in Maths and a STEM subject (BB minimum 112 UCAS points). Additional skills in communication, IT, attention to detail, organisation, problem-solving, administration, numerical analysis, logic, and teamwork are essential. Due to the nature of Thales's work, security clearance (BPSS and SC) is mandatory, requiring continuous residency in the UK for the last five years.
