About the role

This apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to train as a dental nurse at MF Dental in Littleborough. You will be involved in assisting with dental care, reception duties, and the decontamination and sterilisation of surgical equipment. Key responsibilities include preparing the surgery, anticipating the dental operator's needs, providing pre- and post-operative patient instructions, maintaining equipment, and managing appointments and patient data. The role also involves patient interaction, including greeting, escorting, and handling payments. This is a Level 3 apprenticeship leading to a qualification approved by the General Dental Council, with weekly off-the-job training at The Oldham College. Career progression opportunities include becoming a qualified Dental Nurse, team leader, manager, or pursuing further training as a dental hygienist, therapist, or orthodontic therapist. Essential requirements include GCSEs in English and Maths at grades 9-4 (A*-C) or equivalent, strong communication, IT, and customer care skills, attention to detail, and a reliable and enthusiastic work ethic.
