About the role

This is an 18-month government-funded Level 3 Extended Diploma in Dental Nursing by City & Guilds. As an Apprentice Dental Nurse, you will provide efficient and reliable chairside support to clinicians, ensuring high standards of patient care, confidentiality, and GDPR compliance. Your daily duties will include welcoming patients, handling basic enquiries, preparing surgeries, sterilising instruments, assisting during treatments, and accurately updating patient records. You will also monitor stock, maintain clean clinical areas, and uphold patient privacy. Upon completion, career progression opportunities include Senior Dental Nurse, Lead Nurse, Treatment Coordinator, or Practice Manager. Further training can lead to roles like Dental Hygienist, Dental Therapist, or Orthodontic Therapist.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE Maths at grade 4 or above, and GCSE English at grade 4 or above.
