This 18-month government-funded Level 3 Extended Diploma apprenticeship in Dental Nursing with City & Guilds offers a comprehensive training program. Alongside your studies, you will gain hands-on experience as a Dental Nurse within a practice. Key responsibilities include providing efficient and reliable chairside support to clinicians, maintaining high standards of patient care, confidentiality, and GDPR compliance. Daily duties encompass welcoming patients, managing appointments, handling enquiries, preparing surgeries, sterilising instruments, assisting during treatments, and updating patient records. You will also be involved in stock management, ensuring clinical areas are clean and safe, and upholding patient privacy. The role emphasizes collaboration within the dental team to deliver safe and high-quality care. Upon completion, career progression opportunities include Senior Dental Nurse, Lead Nurse, Treatment Coordinator, Practice Manager, or further development into a Dental Hygienist, Dental Therapist, or Orthodontic Therapist.
