About the role

As an Environmental & Energy Compliance Apprentice at AVARA FOODS LTD, you will support the Environmental Compliance team in maintaining and improving compliance with ISO 14001, ISO 50001, MCERTS, environmental legislation, and company management systems. Key responsibilities include supporting the Environmental Management System, assisting with environmental procedures and documentation, and ensuring compliance with various standards and legislation. You will be involved in planning and delivering audits, reporting, monitoring corrective actions, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. The role also involves data analysis, record maintenance, and supporting operational sites with environmental compliance activities, including incident investigations and training. Travel across key sites is required, necessitating a full UK driving licence. This apprenticeship offers a pathway to full-time employment and future career development within a large food business.
