About the role
Thornton Medical Centre in Leeds is seeking a full-time Nurse apprentice. This role offers a unique blend of hands-on practice and distance learning with the University of Derby. You will gain practical experience assisting registered nurses and performing clinical observations, while also undertaking online study. Duties include patient care, recording clinical observations, preparing clinical areas, maintaining patient records, and adhering to infection control and health and safety policies. The apprenticeship also involves participating in training, assessments, and educational activities to develop clinical knowledge and skills. Upon successful completion, you will be eligible to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
Entry requirements
- GCSE English and Maths (grades 4-9), UCAS points (70-112). Essential skills include communication, IT, attention to detail, organization, customer care, problem-solving, administration, numerical ability, analytical thinking, logical reasoning, teamwork, initiative, and a non-judgmental, patient attitude.
