About the role

Embark on an 18-month government-funded Level 3 Extended Diploma apprenticeship in Dental Nursing with City & Guilds. This program offers a comprehensive training pathway combined with practical experience within a dental practice. You will gain essential skills in assisting dentists, sterilizing equipment, reception duties, and enhancing patient experience.

Key responsibilities include providing efficient chairside support, maintaining high standards of patient care, confidentiality, and GDPR compliance. Daily tasks involve preparing surgeries, sterilizing instruments, assisting clinicians, updating patient records, and ensuring a positive patient journey. You will also manage stock, maintain clinical areas, and uphold patient privacy.

This apprenticeship provides a strong foundation for a career in dental nursing, with clear progression routes into roles such as Senior Dental Nurse, Lead Nurse, Treatment Coordinator, or Practice Manager. Further training can lead to specialization as a Dental Hygienist, Dental Therapist, or Orthodontic Therapist.
