About the role

This is a 12-month government-funded apprenticeship for a Dental Nurse, leading to a Level 3 Extended Diploma accredited by City & Guilds. As an apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience assisting dentists, sterilizing and preparing equipment, performing reception duties, and supporting patient experience. Key responsibilities include providing chair-side support, managing patient queries, taking payments, booking appointments, and maintaining patient records. You will also be involved in managing stock and ensuring the cleanliness of dental areas. This role requires strong communication, organizational, customer care, administrative, and teamwork skills. Essential requirements include GCSEs in English and Maths at grade 4 or above. The apprenticeship offers opportunities for career progression into roles such as team manager or dental practice manager, with the potential for further training to become a dental therapist or hygienist.
