About the role

Abbotsford House Dental Practice is seeking a motivated individual to join their team as a Dental Nurse Apprentice. This role provides essential chairside support to dental professionals and ensures a high standard of patient care in a variety of clinical settings. The apprenticeship will cover all aspects of dental nursing, including assisting with treatments, preparing and decontaminating rooms and equipment, managing dental materials, and maintaining accurate patient records. You will also gain experience with the practice's computer and X-ray systems.

Key duties include providing chairside support, manipulating and applying dental materials, using a range of dental instruments, decontaminating treatment rooms and equipment, waste segregation, and maintaining computer and X-ray systems. The apprenticeship reflects all aspects of the dental nurse role in different clinical environments. Entry requirements

  • GCSE English and Math's grade 4 or above. Strong communication, attention to detail, organisation, customer care, problem-solving, and teamwork skills are essential.
