About the role

Join My Local Solicitor Ltd as an Apprentice Solicitor and work towards qualification while gaining hands-on experience in a friendly law firm. You’ll assist with real client matters, develop practical legal skills and study towards the Solicitor Level 7 apprenticeship and SQE. Duties include assisting solicitors with progressing client matters, speaking with clients, attending client meetings, drafting legal documents, carrying out legal research, assisting with Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, family and probate matters, gaining experience in family law, employment law and civil litigation, using case management software, maintaining client records, and developing knowledge of compliance, confidentiality and anti-money laundering requirements. You will also support the wider team and take on increasing responsibility as your skills, knowledge and confidence develop.

Entry requirements

  • A Level / Three A levels in any subject or equivalent Level 3 / C or above. Communication skills, IT skills, Attention to detail, Organisation skills, Customer care skills, Problem solving skills, Presentation skills, Administrative skills, Analytical skills, Logical, Team working, Initiative, Non judgemental, Patience
