About the role

We are looking for enthusiastic Trainee Pharmacy Technician Apprentices to complete a GPhC-accredited qualification and the Level 3 Pharmacy Technician (Integrated) Apprenticeship Standard. You will gain valuable work experience and industry-specific competence. The role involves undertaking training and proving competence in pharmaceutical duties under the direction of a Practice Supervisor. Key responsibilities include accurate dispensing of prescribed items, record keeping, receiving and checking medication requests, handling out prescriptions and counselling patients on their medicines, accuracy checking of dispensed items, and managing pharmaceutical stock. You will also be involved in medicines optimisation activities such as drug history taking and patient counselling. This apprenticeship offers the potential for full-time employment upon successful completion and provides transferable skills that are invaluable in the wider world of work.
