About the role

This apprenticeship offers a 12-month government-funded Level 3 Extended Diploma in Dental Nursing, delivered by City & Guilds. The role involves assisting dentists chair-side, sterilising and preparing equipment, managing reception duties, and enhancing the patient experience. Daily tasks include greeting patients, handling queries, taking payments, booking appointments, maintaining patient records, ensuring a positive patient wellbeing, cleaning dental areas, and managing stock. The apprenticeship standard is Dental Nurse (GDC 2023) Level 3, with training provided at the dental surgery. Upon completion, career progression can lead to roles such as team manager, dental practice manager, dental therapist, dental hygienist, or orthodontic therapist.

Entry requirements
