Early Years Initial Teacher Training (EYITT) Apprentice

About the role

This is an Early Years Initial Teacher Training (EYITT) apprenticeship programme designed for graduates. The 12-month course is fully funded by the Department for Education and leads to Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS), qualifying trainees as early years teachers. Duties include supporting children's learning and development, planning and delivering activities, observing and assessing progress, building positive relationships with children and families, promoting inclusive practice, ensuring safeguarding, and developing professional practice with mentors. The programme is delivered through practical experience, tutor and mentor support, online learning, and workplace observations. Upon successful completion, trainees will be fully qualified early years teachers.

Entry requirements

• GCSE English, Maths, and Science at grade 4 or above, and a Bachelors Degree in any subject with a 2:1 classification.
