About the role
As a Food Technical Degree Apprentice, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the availability of food products. This 3-year program involves rotations within the Food Technology department, allowing you to develop new skills, earn a degree, and prepare for a career in food retail. Your course fees will be covered. You'll focus on Food Safety, Food Quality, and Legality across manufacturing sites, gaining hands-on experience and leadership skills. Responsibilities include supporting manufacturing sites during peak times, understanding production lines, and working with systems managers on product specifications and procedures. You will study towards a BSc (Hons) Professional Practice in Food Technology Management at Sheffield Hallam University, with study leave provided. The role may involve early starts, late finishes, night shifts, weekends, and bank holidays, particularly during peak trading. Entry requirements
- Minimum of 96 UCAS points and GCSE Grade 4 in Maths and English. A-levels in Food Technology or a science-based subject are ideal. Full UK driving license and the right to work in the UK are required.
