About the role

This is a 12-month government-funded Level 3 Extended Diploma in Dental Nursing, delivered by City & Guilds. As an apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience in a dental practice, assisting dentists, sterilizing and preparing equipment, performing reception duties, and supporting the overall patient experience. Daily tasks include managing patient queries, taking payments, booking appointments, and maintaining patient records. You will also be responsible for managing stock and ensuring the cleanliness of dental areas. This apprenticeship offers a pathway to further career development within the dental field, with opportunities to progress to roles such as team manager, dental practice manager, dental therapist, dental hygienist, or orthodontic therapist.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above. Strong communication, organisation, customer care, administrative, and teamwork skills are essential. Patience and a non-judgmental attitude are also required.
