About the role

This is a government-funded Level 3 Extended Diploma apprenticeship in Dental Nursing, delivered over 12 months by City & Guilds and Harriet Ellis Training Solutions Limited. As a Dental Nurse Apprentice, you will assist dentists, sterilize and prepare equipment, handle reception duties, and support patient experience. Key responsibilities include chair-side assistance, managing patient queries, taking payments, booking appointments, maintaining patient records, and managing stock. You will also be involved in cleaning dental areas and ensuring effective patient care. The role requires excellent communication, organizational, customer care, administrative, and teamwork skills, along with patience and a non-judgmental attitude. Successful candidates will need to pass a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and receive a Hepatitis B vaccine. Upon completion, there are opportunities for career progression to roles such as Dental Practice Manager, Dental Therapist, Dental Hygienist, or Orthodontic Therapist.
