About the role

This apprenticeship offers a government-funded Level 3 Extended Diploma in dental nursing, delivered over 12 months by City & Guilds. As an apprentice dental nurse, you will gain hands-on experience assisting dentists, sterilising and preparing equipment, managing reception duties, and contributing to a positive patient experience. The role involves a wide range of responsibilities, from administrative tasks like answering phones and booking appointments to clinical support such as chair-side assistance and maintaining dental areas. You will also be involved in managing stock and ensuring effective patient care in collaboration with the senior dental team.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above. Strong communication, organisation, customer care, problem-solving, administrative, and teamwork skills are essential, along with patience and a non-judgemental attitude.
