About the role

This is a trainee dental nurse apprenticeship opportunity at Junction Lane Dental Practice in St Helens. The role involves supporting dentists with treatments, adhering to health and safety and infection control protocols, sterilizing instruments, and delivering patient care. The apprenticeship will be completed over 18 months. Duties include preparing and maintaining the clinical environment, carrying out infection prevention and control procedures, recording dental charting, preparing and handling dental materials, providing chairside support, keeping patient records, preparing patients for radiography, processing radiographs, monitoring and reassuring patients, providing patient advice, and supporting colleagues during medical emergencies. Career progression opportunities include further courses in Radiography, Orthodontic Nursing, Sedation Nursing, and Implant Nursing.
