About the role

This apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to become a Laboratory Technician, focusing on foundry-related duties at CASTINGS PUBLIC LIMITED COMPANY. You will gain hands-on experience in preparing metal samples for microscopic examination, performing crucial tests such as hardness and tensile strength, and conducting spectrometer analyses on iron samples. Your responsibilities will include verifying the quality of raw materials, molten metal, and finished castings to ensure they meet industry standards. You will also be involved in the maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments, as well as accurately recording test results and communicating any issues to the production and engineering teams. Entry requirements
