About the role

GLOBAL ARDOUR RECYCLING LIMITED is seeking an Apprentice Recycling Operative to join their team in Preston. This role involves working closely with the yard team and management to maintain high operational standards in all weather conditions. Key responsibilities include sorting, weighing, and grading non-ferrous materials, assisting with weighbridge deductions, liaising with customers and suppliers, and processing ferrous and non-ferrous materials safely. The apprentice will also undertake manual handling, complete required paperwork, and carry out duties outdoors. Compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies is crucial, along with using equipment safely and maintaining good housekeeping standards. For the right candidate, there may be opportunities to develop into a Supervisor or Team Leader role upon completion of the apprenticeship.
