About the role

This Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Apprenticeship with Farm Friends Ltd offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in providing care and education for children aged birth to 4 years in a nursery setting. You will work under supervision, supporting children's development through play and encouraging healthy life choices. Key responsibilities include ensuring the safety and hygiene of children and the setting, and working collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and other professionals. Farm Friends is a rural nursery near Shrewsbury with extensive outdoor space, including a sensory room and farm walks, providing a unique learning environment. An enhanced DBS check is required. Upon successful completion, there is potential to progress to a Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE English and Maths: A*-C/9-4 or Level 2 FS. Other essential skills include communication, IT, attention to detail, organisation, customer care, problem-solving, presentation, teamwork, creativity, initiative, being non-judgemental, patience, physical fitness, and a willingness to learn and grow. Reliability and motivation are also key.
