About the role
This apprenticeship is designed for individuals with existing experience in nursery or school settings who are passionate about childcare and early years education and wish to advance their careers. The role involves providing engaging activities that foster learning and enjoyment for children, supporting their development through planning and observations, and preparing/maintaining the learning environment and resources. Responsibilities include preparing meals, assisting children with self-care needs, demonstrating creativity and enthusiasm, adhering to safeguarding policies, and undertaking necessary First Aid and ongoing training to meet legal and standard requirements. Health and hygiene protocols must always be maintained. Upon completion, apprentices will achieve a Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification and have the potential for permanent employment. Further career paths may include roles in social work, teaching, or management within the childcare sector.
Entry requirements
- GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above.
