About the role

This apprenticeship at Todmorden Nursery offers a fantastic opportunity to begin a career in childcare. As an Apprentice Early Years Practitioner, you will be responsible for ensuring the educational, social, physical, emotional, health, and welfare needs of children are consistently met. You will work towards completing an Early Years Practitioner Level 2 qualification during your apprenticeship. Key duties include providing a high standard of care, collaborating with management and staff to ensure effective daily operations, and fostering a positive and inclusive environment for children's development. Building strong relationships with parents and carers is also a crucial aspect of this role. You will adhere to the Early Years Foundation Stage statutory framework (EYFS) and other relevant legislation.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE English Language grade 4/C or above. GCSE Maths grade 4/C or above. Strong communication, IT, attention to detail, organisation, customer care, problem-solving, presentation, number, analytical, and logical skills. Ability to work in a team, be creative, show initiative, and be non-judgmental and patient.
