About the role
Camira Fabrics Limited is seeking an Apprentice Technical Dyer to join their team at Holmfirth Dyers. This role involves learning all aspects of dyehouse operations, including preparation and loading of dye vessels, operating dispensing systems, weighing dyes and chemicals, and understanding dye recipes. The apprentice will also gain experience in technical colour matching, using laboratory equipment for colour measurement, developing dye recipes, and assisting with colour correction. Quality assurance is a key component, involving laboratory testing, recording results, and investigating quality issues. The apprentice will also be trained on health, safety, and environmental procedures, including safe handling of chemicals and wearing appropriate PPE. This apprenticeship offers a pathway to becoming a Junior Technical Dyer, Technical Dyer, Senior Technical Dyer, or Technical Colourist.
