About the role
The programme builds practical engineering competence, technical knowledge, and safety awareness to support reliable, efficient, and compliant system performance. Aligned to real operational settings, the apprenticeship supports productivity, energy efficiency, and continuous improvement across compressed air and vacuum applications. Duties include learning the electrical and mechanical workings of compressor and refrigeration dryers, as well as pipefitting including screwed and push-fit types. The apprenticeship offers career progression to become an independent engineer on the road with a company vehicle and bonus scheme. The employer has been serving the midlands and nationwide contracts since 1997 in the compressed air industry, including sales, service, and installations, and is Fgas registered.
