About the role

Menzies Distribution Solutions is seeking a keen and passionate individual to start their career as a Transport Planner. This apprenticeship offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in managing driver and vehicle resources, maintaining the Transport Management System (TMS), and ensuring customer requirements are met. The role involves liaising with internal and external stakeholders, promoting efficient work standards in compliance with legislation, managing driver hours and Working Time Directive (WTD) rules, and preparing KPI reports. Duties: Ensure effective and efficient use of driver and vehicle resources Maintenance and Management of the Transport Management System (TMS) Ensuring customer requirements are administered Liaise, support and develop effective working relationships with internal and external customers Promote effective and efficient standards of work, in order to comply with transport legislation, company policy and Health & Safety legislation Managing Driver hours, WTD rules Preparing and submitting various KPI reports Undertake any other duties that are reasonably requested.
