About the role
This apprenticeship offers a comprehensive introduction to the freight forwarding industry, covering both air and sea freight operations. You will gain hands-on experience in key administrative and logistical tasks, including answering calls, taking customer details for quoting, requesting rates from suppliers, and quoting customers. The role involves monitoring shipments and liaising with customers and suppliers to provide updates. Successful completion of the apprenticeship may lead to a full-time position with a starting salary of approximately £22,000 per year, with ongoing training and development opportunities based on performance and work ethic.
Entry requirements
- GCSE English and maths grade 4-9. Essential skills include communication, IT, attention to detail, organisation, customer care, problem-solving, presentation, administration, numeracy, analytical skills, logical thinking, teamwork, initiative, patience, and the ability to be non-judgemental.
