About the role

This apprenticeship offers an exciting opportunity to work in a childcare setting with children aged 0-5, working towards an Advanced Diploma in Early Years. The role involves creating a fun, engaging, and safe environment, teaching within the EYFS framework, and participating in various indoor and outdoor activities. You will support children with self-care needs, communicate effectively with team members and parents, and provide a high level of service to the childcare setting.

The apprenticeship requires dedication, commitment, and punctuality. Essential requirements include GCSEs in Maths and English at grade C/4 or above, or Level 2 Functional Skills in Maths and English. Strong communication, IT, attention to detail, organisation, customer care, problem-solving, presentation, administrative, numerical, analytical, and logical skills are also highly valued. You should be a team player with initiative, creativity, be non-judgemental, and possess patience and physical fitness.

Upon successful completion, career progression opportunities include becoming a Level 3 practitioner with the potential for a full-time position, as well as progressing to Room Leader roles, management training, or even a springboard into primary education or paediatric nursing. Continuous development within the nursery setting is also encouraged.
