About the role

This apprenticeship offers an exciting opportunity to become an Apprentice Dental Nurse at Macclesfield Dental. You will provide efficient and reliable chairside support to clinicians, ensuring high standards of patient care, confidentiality, and GDPR compliance. Day-to-day duties include welcoming patients, handling enquiries, preparing surgeries, sterilising instruments, assisting clinicians during treatments, accurately updating patient records, supporting patient comfort, monitoring stock and equipment, and maintaining clean clinical areas. You will uphold patient privacy and confidentiality at all times and collaborate with the dental team to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality care. The role requires excellent administrative, analytical, and communication skills, attention to detail, initiative, IT proficiency, and teamwork. Upon completion, there are clear progression routes within dental nursing, with opportunities to advance to Senior Dental Nurse, Lead Nurse, Treatment Coordinator, or Practice Manager. Further training can lead to roles like Dental Hygienist, Dental Therapist, or Orthodontic Therapist.
