About the role

This is an office-based apprenticeship in Altrincham where you will learn to coordinate international shipments by air, sea, road, and rail. You will support the team with booking freight, tracking shipments, and ensuring customers are kept informed. The role involves developing an understanding of customs processes, shipping documentation, quotations, and freight forwarding systems. You will build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and overseas agents, providing excellent customer service. Full training, mentoring, and support will be provided, with opportunities for career progression into a Multi-Modal Account Manager role upon successful completion. The industry is dynamic, requiring organization, adaptability, and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet customer deadlines. Regular use of computers, email, and telephone communication is expected.
