About the role

This apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a desire to learn and develop within the engineering and manufacturing sector. As an Engineering Operative Apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience across various departments, including production, fabrication, machining, and assembly. You will be trained to operate hand tools, power tools, and workshop machinery safely and effectively, while also learning to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.

Key responsibilities include supporting production teams, performing basic measuring and inspection, assisting with materials handling, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. You will also be involved in recording work accurately and participating in team briefings and continuous improvement activities. The apprenticeship includes on-the-job training combined with off-the-job learning at In-Comm Training, with regular progress reviews and opportunities for career progression to Level 3 or permanent roles.
