About the role

This apprenticeship offers comprehensive training in all aspects of horse care at Inadown Farm Riding School and Livery Yard. Responsibilities include grooming, mucking out, trimming and clipping, plaiting, lungeing and riding, health care, and feeding. You will also assist with the running of events and customer care. Functional Skills in Maths and English will be provided if required. Due to the rural location, reliable transportation is essential, and candidates must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions. For the right candidate, there is potential progression to a Level 3 Senior Equine Groom apprenticeship.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE Maths and English: C/4 or above (Desired). Communication skills, Attention to detail, Organisation skills, Customer care skills, Problem solving skills, Logical thinking, Team working, Initiative, Non-judgemental attitude, Patience, and Physical fitness are also required.
