About the role

An exciting opportunity to undertake an Equine apprenticeship at Tynefield Livery and Stud. This role involves a wide range of general yard duties including mucking out, tacking up and cleaning, bringing in and turning out horses, clipping, pulling, trimming, plaiting, bathing, schooling, exercising horses, bandaging, rug changing, holding for vet/farrier/dentist, and paddock maintenance. The apprenticeship is for 1 year and is a Level 2 qualification. GCSE Maths and English at grade 4 or above are desired. Essential skills include communication, attention to detail, organisation, customer care, problem-solving, logical thinking, teamwork, creativity, initiative, being non-judgemental, patience, and physical fitness. The training will be provided by SHELDRAKE TRAINING LIMITED, with all training taking place at the employer's workplace. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a friendly yard within the South Downs National Park, with potential for progression to a Level 3 Senior Equine Groom Apprenticeship for the right candidate.
