About the role

Sherwood Green Nursery Gateway is seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Apprentice to join their welcoming, child-centred setting. This role offers hands-on experience in providing high-quality care and early education for children, supported by experienced practitioners. Key responsibilities include supporting children's daily care, learning, and development in line with the EYFS, assisting with planning and delivering engaging activities, building positive relationships with children and parents, and maintaining a safe and stimulating environment. The apprentice will also contribute to learning journeys and assessments, support children's emotional wellbeing, and follow nursery policies. The apprenticeship includes full training, ongoing support, a company uniform, discounted childcare, free meals, paid holidays, and clear career progression opportunities, with the potential to move into a permanent Early Years Practitioner role upon successful completion and further qualifications.

Entry requirements

• GCSE English Language grade 4, GCSE Mathematics grade 4. Desired soft skills include communication, creativity, friendliness, initiative, logical thinking, non-judgmental attitude, organization, patience, and teamwork.
