About the role

This is a 12-month government-funded apprenticeship for a Dental Nurse, leading to a Level 3 Extended Diploma. The role involves assisting dentists, sterilizing and preparing equipment, performing reception duties, and supporting the patient experience. Key responsibilities include chair-side support, handling patient queries, managing payments and appointments, maintaining patient records, and ensuring the cleanliness of dental areas. The apprenticeship requires at least 20% of working hours to be dedicated to training with Harriet Ellis Training Solutions Limited. Upon completion, there are opportunities for career progression into roles such as team manager or dental practice manager, or further training to become a dental therapist, hygienist, or orthodontic therapist. Essential entry requirements include GCSEs in English and Maths at grade 4 or above, along with strong communication, attention to detail, organization, customer care, and teamwork skills. Candidates will also need to pass a DBS check and receive a Hepatitis B vaccine.
