About the role

Become a qualified Autocare Technician with this apprenticeship at Halfords. You will learn to use diagnostic equipment, identify vehicle faults, test parts and systems, and perform vehicle inspections. This role offers hands-on experience with a variety of vehicle types, including traditional, hybrid, and electric engines. You'll develop problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and learn to maintain electronic systems. The apprenticeship includes comprehensive training with a combination of virtual and face-to-face learning, a full toolkit, uniform, and boots. Upon completion, you'll gain a Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard in Autocare Technician, along with other essential certifications and potential progression to Level 3.

Desired skills include enthusiasm, teamwork, strong communication, customer service, and an interest in vehicle engineering. A Level 1 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair is desirable, along with GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/C.
