About the role
This apprenticeship offers an opportunity to become a SEN Teaching Assistant at Oasis Academy Foundry. The role involves supporting children with special educational needs on a 1:1 basis, in small groups, and in classes. Key responsibilities include establishing rapport with pupils, supervising and supporting them with learning resources, ensuring their safety and welfare, promoting inclusion, and supporting the implementation of IEPs and behaviour plans. The role also involves assisting teachers with preparing materials, monitoring pupil responses, and providing feedback. You will gain a Teaching Assistant Level 3 qualification with 20% off-the-job training and tutor support. Upon completion, there is potential for a permanent role and higher-level apprenticeships.
