About the role
This apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to become a Process Industry Manufacturing Technician at Cargill PLC. You will work as part of a process team, ensuring the smooth operation of rapeseed oil Crush & Refinery departments, adhering to high safety, quality, and efficiency standards. The apprenticeship includes a recognised training programme in science manufacturing alongside comprehensive on-the-job training. You will gain hands-on experience in crushing and refining rapeseed and soybeans, understanding the associated oil and meal products, and learning about the mechanical, automated, and chemical aspects of edible oil production and animal feed manufacturing. Responsibilities include operating process equipment safely, conducting quality control checks, completing the Level 3 apprenticeship, supporting plant operations through maintenance and housekeeping, and accurately maintaining documentation and training records.
Entry requirements
- GCSEs including Maths and English (Grade 4/C or above). Desired: At least 2 A-Levels (CCC or above). Skills: Communication, IT, Attention to detail, Organisation, Problem-solving, Numeracy, Analytical, Logical, Team working, Initiative.
