About the role
An exciting opportunity to continue your childcare career with Parenta Training, working within a supportive early years setting at Westerham Day Nursery. You will develop your knowledge and skills whilst working towards a Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification and supporting children aged 0-5 to learn, develop and thrive.
Key duties include supporting children's learning and development in line with the EYFS framework, planning and delivering engaging activities with support from experienced staff, completing observations, and contributing to assessments and learning journeys. You will also support children's personal, social, and emotional development, promote positive behaviour and inclusive practice, and work closely with colleagues and families. Ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of children at all times, following safeguarding, child protection, and confidentiality procedures, and recognising and appropriately reporting safeguarding concerns are also vital. You will contribute to a nurturing and stimulating learning environment.
Entry requirements include GCSE passes in English and Maths, and a relevant Early Years Practitioner qualification. Essential skills include communication, IT, attention to detail, organisation, customer care, problem-solving, presentation, number skills, logical thinking, teamwork, creativity, initiative, and patience. The role requires a genuine passion for working with children and commitment to completing the apprenticeship. Successful apprentices may secure a permanent Early Years Educator position with opportunities to progress.
