About the role

This is a Level 7 Chartered Pathway Programme for aspiring trainee accountants at Armstrong Watson. The six-year programme, starting in September 2027, offers real-world experience, fully funded globally recognised professional qualifications, a full salary, and a clear route to a Level 7 professional qualification (Master's degree equivalent). Participants will work with clients, develop technical knowledge, commercial understanding, communication skills, and professional confidence. The programme includes studying AAT Levels 3 and 4, followed by ACA, leading to Chartered Accountant status, with experience across Business Services, Audit & Assurance, and tailored placements. The initial two years focus on foundations, followed by broader experience across the business. Trainees will be based in a regional office (Glasgow, Carlisle, Newcastle, Leeds or Manchester) after the initial two years and will gain exposure to areas like Corporate Finance and Financial Advisory. Visiting clients is a key part of the role, and willingness to learn to drive within 3 months of joining is required.
